Going back to the year 2000, and modding Dreamcast version of Sonic Adventure 2 The trial with more Classic Sonic stuff from the Genesis / Mega Drive era.

  1. For example, Sonic Adventure 2 unzipped includes track01.bin, track02(.raw?), and track03.bin. This seems to be the pattern for many games, which obviously means you have to retitle some of the files if you drop multiple roms into the dreamcast folder, otherwise you have a 'Track01' for a bunch of different games.

Sonic Adventure 2 Trial Rom

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is a smashing hit to the Sega Dreamcast. It is one of the most popular Sonic games around due to its advanced chao breeding and my favorite, you get to play as Dr. Eggman! Start off your game by playing as Team Hero (Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles), or Team Dark (Shadow, Rouge, and Eggman). I hope you have as much fun as I did!

Sonic Adventure 2
Sonic Adventure 2 is the direct sequel to Sonic Adventure, both released for the Sega Dreamcast.
Sonic Adventure 2, like the first one, is a Sonic title in full 3D, adding new features such as rail grinding/swinging, 2-Player battling, and the ability to play as Dr. Eggman.
The gameplay is similar to the first one, but the adventure maps have been removed in favor of straight level maps, as has the ability to choose characters. Instead, you pick between the hero or dark storylines, and follow a progression of levels with your characters chosen for you.
Chao raising has been upgraded in this version as well. Not only can you raise chaos with new items known as Chaos Drives, but you can also raise a chao between hero and dark forms depending on who raises it.
If you enjoy Sonic games, this is indeed a must-play.

Sonic rates this game: 4/5

I have gotten a few games on dreamcast working well on my retropie (4.2, on a raspberry pi 3 overclocked a little... i store roms on a usb drive, retropie itself is on a microSD card). Marvel vs Capcom and a few homebrew games.

I tried to put Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 and a few other games, and noticed when I unzipped the file from (the internet), the extracted files are often titled: track01, track02, etc.

Further, I haven't gotten my retropie to load/see any of the games titled this way, even when only one set of 'tracks' is on the dreamcast folder of my usb drive.

Is there an easy way to organize files/label them so they can all be placed in the folder? And whats the trick to actually loading these files?

Thanks!
