Wolfenstein 3D is a computer game produced by id Software and published by Apogee 5 May 1992 year. The three-dimensional successor games Castle Wolfenstein and Beyond Castle Wolfenstein, released by Muse Software respectively between 1983 and 1984, the Apple II platform. It is generally believed that launched the genre known as FPS. The game's story is very straightforward: the player takes the role of an American soldier of Polish descent - William Joseph Blazkowicz, who during a secret mission is captured and imprisoned in a Nazi stronghold.
